About MUDDO
Independent guides,
made to be useful.
MUDDO is a free travel-guide platform for Morocco. We publish practical destination guides, day-by-day itineraries and mapped recommendations for independent travellers.
MUDDO is an independent editorial project focused on Morocco. The site is built around a simple idea: a travel guide should help you make a decision, not fill a page.
Every guide is free to read online. There are no accounts, no paywalls and no newsletter required.
What we publish
MUDDO publishes destination guides, day-by-day itineraries and mapped recommendations. The emphasis is on routes that can be followed on the ground: where to start, how long a place deserves, and which details are worth checking before you go.
We write for independent travellers. That means clear practical notes, honest limits and links to official sources rather than a list of everything a place contains.
How recommendations are selected
Places and routes are chosen for their usefulness within a trip: geographic sense, practical access, and whether they repay the time they take. We do not rank places by commission, and inclusion is not for sale.
A recommendation is an editorial suggestion, not a guarantee of current conditions. We do not claim that every place has been personally visited or recently inspected.
How sources are used
For details that change, we link to official tourism boards, venue websites, ticket pages, UNESCO listings and other primary or reputable sources. These links let you confirm opening hours, access and prices at the moment you travel.
Third-party sources are used for context and verification. Where a detail cannot be checked reliably, we prefer to say less rather than present it as certain.
Corrections
If something is wrong, outdated or missing, tell us through the contact page. Include the page URL, the sentence or detail in question, and a source if you have one. We review corrections and update the guide when the evidence is clear.
Corrections are handled manually. We cannot promise a response time, but we do read them.
Limits of a travel guide
Travel information changes. Opening hours, tickets, access rules, transport and local conditions can change after publication. A guide is a starting point, not a live conditions report.
Check the official source before you travel, especially for anything that affects access, safety or a booking.
Images and credits
Photography is credited on the credits page. Some images come from Unsplash under the Unsplash License; others come from Wikimedia Commons under the licences shown there.
If you hold the rights to an image and believe it is credited incorrectly, contact us with the page URL and the licence details. We will correct or remove it.
Editorial policy
How this site is made.
A short statement of the standards we apply to every guide. It describes the process we actually follow, not a claim that every detail has been field-tested.
- 01
Independence
MUDDO does not accept payment for inclusion in its guides. We do not use paid placements. If that changes, we will disclose it clearly on the relevant page.
- 02
Useful over exhaustive
We prefer a short, workable route to a long list of places. Recommendations should help a traveller choose, not simply add options.
- 03
Source-linked facts
Details that change are linked to an official or reputable source whenever possible. We separate editorial judgement from checkable facts.
- 04
Visible corrections
When a correction changes the substance of a guide, we update the page. We do not silently rewrite a recommendation to hide an error.
- 05
No invented experience
We do not invent visits, credentials, partnerships or first-hand claims. Where a guide relies on published sources, that is the basis we describe.
Something to correct?
Send the page URL and a source through the contact page. That is the fastest way to help us fix a guide.
